TherapyGarden™ Essential Oil Citronella

Citronella (Cymbopogon winterianus essential oil is classified into two types, Java and Ceylon. TherapyGarden™ offers the superior Java Citronella essential oil with it's lemony-fresh, woody aroma. Java is preferred over Ceylon in perfumery and aromatherapy due to it's sweeter, slightly floral aroma.

Well known for its effectiveness as an insect repellent, it is also used in soaps, lotions and hair care products. Citronella essential oil is said to have antiseptic and bactericidal properties and is used to treat oily skin. Also acts as a deodorizer.

Blends well with citrus oils, cedarwood, eucalyptus, peppermint, and eucalyptus. Avoid during pregnancy.
