TherapyGarden™ Citric Acid

A crystalline powder, originally derived from citrus fruit and widely used in cosmetics.

Used to adjust pH in lotions and other toiletries and one of the main ingredients in fizzing bath bombs and bath salts. When citric acid and baking soda are combined and then mixed with water, a harmless chemical reaction occurs that releases carbon dioxide, thus the "fizz". Also used in skincare products as an astringent and an antioxidant.
