TIP:	Palm kernel flakes are palm kernel oil in solid form. The flakes are easy to store and handle and either product can be used as a substitute for coconut oil in most recipes. Neither should be confused with Palm Oil, which is extracted from the flesh of the fruit rather than from the kernel and has a totally different fatty acid composition.
