Foaming Bath Butter gently cleanses while moisturizing, and has a mild pH of 5.5 -- ideal for facial applications.

Here's the basic technique, along with a few ideas to get you started:

RECIPE!

As you begin to whip the Foaming Bath Butter, you can add additional ingredients if you wish -- oils, salt, fragrance, color, etc.

NOTE: It's important that you add your ingredients before you finish whipping the product or it will collapse. For the same reason, don't attempt to add ingredients after the mixture has 'set up' either. Here are some guidelines:

Fragrance - One-half fluid ounce fragrance or essential oil per pound of Foaming Bath Butter is recommended, but that's subject to your personal preference. So start with less and let your nose be your guide.

Colorant - Add colorant a few drops at a time until you achieve the desired tint.

Carrier Oils - adding up to 1 fluid ounce of a carrier oil (Grapeseed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Jojoba Oil, etc.) per pound of base makes a wonderfully moisturizing cleanser.

Sugar/Salt - Sugar or salt can be added until the product becomes supersaturated -- that is, the point at which no more sugar or salt will dissolve. Once the salt/sugar stops dissolving, any that's added will remain in crystal form and act as your exfoliant.

Other Butters and Bases - Try adding Ultra-Refined Shea Butter, Mango Butter or Cocoa Butter. Foaming Bath Butter will also accept small amounts of other creams, lotions and moisturizers! Create your own signature personal-luxury product!

TIP:

Just pour a thin layer of soap base (the thickness of your cookie cutter) into a baking sheet, allow it to cool and cut out your embeds.

Always use non-bleeding colorants when making embeds so you get nice sharp color contrast and no color migration.
