Shipping & Returns


At TherapyGarden.com, we make every effort to bring you the lowest possible shipping cost. The shipping cost for most items is based on the item's size, weight, shipping method and delivery address. We calculate shipping cost based on our lowest-price shipping method and assume all items in your cart are going to one address. If you request a different shipping method or multiple addresses, your actual shipping cost may be higher. Some heavy or large items, identified by the carrier as oversize, have additional shipping charges. Oversize items cannot be shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. protectorates and territories. Depending on the carrier, some less accessible addresses are also subject to one or more surcharges. Your actual shipping cost will include any such charges, and you will see your actual shipping cost during checkout.

Shipping Methods

TherapyGarden.com ships via UPS, US Postal Service and Fedex. There are several factors that determine the shipping charges on orders. First, shipping charges increment as the weight of your order increases. Secondly, the shipping charge formula for most shipping methods is scaled based upon the distance between our Phoenix warehouse and the destination address. The exception is USPS Priority Mail Saver, which is based on a flat rate to all domestic postal addresses. Third, some parcel carriers assess surcharges for residential delivery and rural area delivery. We have set our rates to approximate the rates charged to us by our carriers, and we always seek out the lowest rate available for safe, trackable delivery of your purchase. We offer two shipping methods for most items: Standard/ground (3 to 7 business days in transit), and Priority (2 to 3 business days in transit). Express (next-day or second-day) service is available for most items upon request. We use Freight shipping (7 to 14 business days) for heavy or oversize items. Depending on the size, contents and destination of the order, you may be offered a choice of shipping methods or we may choose the best shipping method for you.

Split Shipments

We may fulfill the items in your order at different times and from different points of origin, so your order may arrive in different boxes and at different times. We try to consolidate shipments whenever possible, and we do not charge extra for these split shipments. You may view your order's current status and tracking information online anytime by logging in to your TherapyGarden.com account.

Shipping Regulated Materials

Due to Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) safety restrictions, we cannot ship by air (Priority or Express) items which are designated as regulated or hazardous materials. Products which, in some quantities, must be shipped only by surface (standard/ground) transportation include fragrance oils, essential oils, some flavor oils and bases. If such restrictions apply to your order, we will ship in compliance with these regulations.

Where We Ship

We ship most items to all 50 states plus these U.S. protectorates and territories: American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. Further restrictions on item type, size and weight may apply at the destination address. Please contact your post office to verify item type, size and weight restrictions for your area.

Except as stated above for U.S. protectorates and territories, we do not currently ship to international destinations, including APO/FPO, Mexico or Canada.

Processing and Shipping Times

Processing time for an item is the time from when you submit your order to when the item is released to the carrier. Shipping time is from when the carrier receives the item to when it arrives at your door. See shipping time below. The arrival date-range of each item is determined by adding the minimum of the processing time to the minimum of the shipping time and the maximum of the processing time to the maximum of the shipping time. For instance, if you bought an item that took 2 to 3 business days to process before shipping and it was sent by Standard shipping (3 to 7 business days), the item would arrive in 4 to 9 business days. Shipping times below apply to shipment destinations in the lower 48 United States. If your order includes items which are on backorder when it is processed, we will hold shipment until the item(s) are back in stock (usually no more than 7-10 business days). For shipments sent by Standard to Alaska and Hawaii, add 2 to 3 days to the shipping time.

Shipping to a Different Address

If your order is shipping to an address other than the billing address on your credit card, we may contact you to list the alternate address with the credit card company or payment processor. This helps prevent fraudulent use of your credit card. Listing the address before you place an order helps us process your order more quickly.

Email Confirmations

After you place an order with TherapyGarden.com, we will email you with detailed information about your order. For instance, soon after you place an order, we send an email confirming we have received it. We send an email receipt for all payments we receive. We may send other emails about your order or payment(s), if necessary. To ensure that we can contact you about your order, please adjust your email settings (e.g., spam filters) to accept mail from therapygarden.com. We do not automatically email status updates, but you may view your order's current status and tracking information online anytime by logging in to your TherapyGarden.com account.

Returns and Exchanges

At TherapyGarden.com, we want you to be thoroughly satisfied with your purchase. We will exchange or replace free of charge any item that is lost or damaged in transit, or if you received the wrong item due to our error.

We do not sell on approval (i.e., Buy-it-Try-it-Return-it-if-you-don't-like-it) because we can no longer guarantee the integrity of a product once it has been unsealed. If you are unsure about the suitability of a particular product, we suggest purchasing in one of our smaller sizes. Kits are made to order and are not returnable, no exceptions.

IF, WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS OF PURCHASE, YOU WISH TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE AN ITEM WHICH REMAINS UNOPENED AND SEALED IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKAGING, YOU MUST DO ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • CONTACT US FIRST AND OBTAIN A RETURN AUTHORIZATION.
  • RETURN THE MERCHANDISE TO THERAPYGARDEN.COM, SHIPPING PREPAID, AT THE SPECIFIED ADDRESS
  • MARK THE RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER [RMA#] CLEARLY ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE RETURN PARCEL.

ALL RETURNS ARE SUBJECT TO A 25% RESTOCKING FEE. Your refund or merchandise credit will be processed within 30 days of receipt of your returned items. WE WILL ACCEPT NO RETURNS AFTER THIRTY (30) DAYS FROM PURCHASE.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL ON KITS, CLEARANCE ITEMS, SALE ITEMS, SPECIAL OFFERS AND SPECIAL PURCHASE ITEMS. NO EXCEPTIONS.
